Follow-up RSS Comments Feed or Leave a TrackbackPenetrating oil and rap it lightly with your wrench if it is rusted.
The penetrating oil soak over night is a good idea. Then use a pipe wrench with a cheater pipe to extend your leverage. be sure to back it up in the other direction with a second wrench to prevent it from turning in the wrong place. If the pipe is a threaded joint. then the cheater bar will do the trick. Be sure you turn off you gas at the main or meter while you work on the lines.
Just a thought but sometimes those things come with a left handed thread. You may be turning it the wrong way.
